COLLABORATE

We are keen to collaborate with individuals
and organisations to further our mission. See examples of how we could collaborate and get in touch below.

We are on a mission to use adventure sailing, citizen science and storytelling to inspire action for a healthy ocean among boating and coastal communities.

WANT TO JOIN IN?

Citizen Science Projects - get added to the directory.

If you've got a ocean citizen science project that needs more participants then please email details to us on hello@freerangeocean.org. We will look to add it to our directory - there is no cost for inclusion.

Please include:

- a description of the project

- tasks participants will help with

- a URL to a webpage with more information

- a link to a folder of photos or videos we can use for promotion

- a link to any video explainers on youtube/vimeo

- Any other details you'd like to share!

We will review the submission and be in touch with next steps.

Adventure Science & Storytelling on board

Are you an early-career researcher or storyteller? Does our route or journey come to where you study, live or work? We are keen to make our vessel Freeranger available for at-sea experiences, research and as a platform for communications. Particularly for those local to the places we visit.

Our careers in these fields showed us how important meaningful ocean experiences can be for those looking to pursue a career in ocean health. That's why we're keen to share the opportunity with others. If you're interested in coming aboard as crew, for a research or storytelling experience please get in touch: hello@freerangeocean.org

Tell us about yourself, your work or studies and what you're hoping to get out of the experience and we can take it from there.

Outreach and Innovation

We use FREERANGER as a platform for outreach and innovation, and as a testbed for innovative research-based or green-operational maritime technologies, from the simple solutions to the high-tech.

Do you have a piece of equipment you need to sea trial, deploy or test? Get in touch! Email duncan.copeland@freerangeocean.org to discuss.

wave_divider_green_edited.png
We are deeply grateful for the time, donations and in-kind support many individuals and organisations have afforded us so far. A dedicated section of the site is in development.

There are many ways to be involved from donating gear, sponsoring the citizen science directory to funding fellowship bursaries for early-career researchers and storytellers.
